Surgery
Your pet's safety and comfort are always our top priorities. From routine procedures to more complex surgeries, our team treats every patient with the same care and attention we'd give our own pets.
At Macleod Trail Animal Hospital, we perform a wide range of soft tissue surgeries your pet may need — from routine procedures like spays and neuters to more complex surgeries such as bladder stone removal. What To Expect
Before any procedure, you’ll meet with one of our veterinarians for a thorough examination and consultation. During this time, we’ll review your pet’s health, explain the procedure, discuss potential risks and benefits, and explore all available options together. If additional testing is recommended, we’ll take care of that ahead of time to ensure the best surgical plan for your pet. We’re always here to answer your questions — before, during, and after your visit.
On the morning of surgery, your pet will receive another full health check to make sure nothing has changed since their initial exam. During the procedure, our veterinary team carefully monitors every aspect of your pet’s well-being using modern equipment and attentive care. We are deeply committed to pain prevention and comfort, using a combination of advanced techniques and medications to keep your pet feeling their best before, during, and after surgery.

If you think your pet may need surgical care, we recommend booking an appointment with one of our veterinarians.
